This little girl was born into an amazing and loving family and it was such a joy to be asked to come and capture them during the start of them growing to a family of four.
I was originally going to be attending this little cuties birth but things didn’t go quite as planned and she had a stint in the NICU after an early birthday. Her mom and dad practically lived at Sacred Heart for a while and once little Leighton got released and settled in at home we finally got to meet. She was an absolute dream during my visit. She was as quiet as a mouse, just taking in all the surroundings, which I can’t blame her, wait until you see how cute her nursery is! Meet Leighton and her parents, who were so excited to be home with their baby girl.
I got the call around 11pm on October 31st. It was storming like crazy outside, in true Halloween spirit. Robin was in active labor and they were headed to the hospital. Her doula gave me a call to let me know how Robin was doing, and I made the decision to run home (I was next door watching a movie with my sister) and grab my go-bag to leave. Their little boy was born that next day on November 1st. Fast forward 1 week and I made a visit to their home for a sweet newborn session. He had already grown so much since first being placed in his moms arms just 7 days… Keep Reading
A sweet, little, lifestyle newborn session I got to do for one of my amazing birth mom’s. Baby Mira is a gem and was an absolute delight to shoot. You are so very loved, little girl. You have no idea how much.
Getting to return after babies birth-day and capture a family in their home is always so much fun. Watching mom and dad in their comfort zone. Seeing how they’ve adjusted and how baby has changed the way they go about their day. Watching and quietly capturing them as they learn more about each other and their newest babe. Baby Ethan is this families first little one. He was busy taking in all his surroundings; the different noises, lights, and soft whispers by mom just before he drifted off to sleep while I left. It’s funny how you never really know what will happen at a Lifestyle Newborn session. Each one is so… Keep Reading
On occasion I get the opportunity do pregnancy photos for some of my birth moms. Carrie was one of those and she is absolutely wonderful to work with. Carrie had her little boy last December and although her pregnancy is over I wanted to make sure I shared some of our favorite shots from that visit. Her family lives on a beautiful property and their home has amazing window ledge seats which made for some great shots of mom and her belly. The weekend before Carrie had a gals night with some close friends and had some Henna work done on her belly, which you can briefly see in the outdoor photos.
I had the opportunity to photography a sweet growing family in Navarre. They had their first child, a little boy, at home and asked me to come in and take some newborn photos. He was the quietest little guy and just watched everything around him until he finally fell asleep at the end of our time together. He had the cutest tiny lips, which you will see at the end. It makes me miss the days when my girls were this little, but at the same time thankful that they still love to cuddle, just like this little guy. –
This weekend I had a wonderful time taking some photos for a sweet new friend and her family. Carrie is due next month and has officially completed all of her hopeful “to-dos” before baby’s arrival. Next up will be capturing her sweet newest addition and him/her joining their family of 4 and growing it to a family of 5! They are waiting to find out if baby is a boy or girl and I can’t wait to show them their excited faces after that day comes. Here are a few photos from our fun session today.
When Amber mentioned to me that she wanted to do her maternity session at a cotton field I was so excited. Have you guys googled “cotton field photo session”. Oh my word – amazing! Also, is googled a verb now?! My computer didn’t try to auto-correct me, which at first I thought was weird, but then again, I’m glad I’m not the only person that uses the term. Amber and Bill have a sweet little boy who just turned one. He is such a sweet happy little guy, and looooves the ladies! haha He did a great job of giving me great smiles and mama cuddles to capture during our… Keep Reading
When I went public with my birth photography business Sheena was one of my first clients. She was in her first trimester and when we met we talked for over an hour about her first birth and her desires for her experience this time around. Talking about birth is so natural for me, and I get rejuvenated and excited when I meet excited parents. Sheena and her hubby have a little boy who will soon become a big brother. He has two older half sisters, so this will be a whole new ball game, and I can already see him being a protector of his momma and baby sister. I am so… Keep Reading
This past weekend I had the pleasure of catching up with a friend I haven’t seen in over 10 years and meeting his sweet family. Britt and Jenessa had their second daughter just over 3 weeks ago. When they had their first little girl they had photos done on the beach and wanted to recreate that with their newest addition. They traveled down to Pensacola and we did just that. We also did a few newborn style photos while we were at it. Here are just a few from our afternoon together. Congratulations again, Britt & Jenessa. I had such a fun time with you and your family and I… Keep Reading
